Rynek Underground
Rynek Underground sits directly beneath the Main Market Square in Krakow, specifically accessed through the Cloth Hall. This unique museum, opened in 2010, showcases the history of medieval Krakow through immersive exhibits and fascinating archaeological finds, including artifacts dating back to the 11th century. Visitors can explore expansive display areas covering approximately 600 meters of the historic underground passageways, revealing the city’s trade, culture, and daily life in the past. Open all year round, it's particularly lively during the summer months when guided tours offer in-depth insights into its treasures. While wandering through this underground labyrinth, be sure to check out the multimedia installations and a life-sized replica of a medieval merchant's shop.
