Belgrade Zoo

  Belgrade Zoo, officially known as the Grand Zoo, is nestled within the picturesque Kalemegdan Park, offering visitors a blend of nature and history. Established in 1936, it covers an area of about 7 hectares and is home to over 2,000 animals representing approximately 200 species, including lions, zebras, and parrots. The zoo's design incorporates natural habitats and provides an educational experience for those looking to learn about wildlife conservation. Open year-round, the zoo attracts visitors in warmer months, particularly from April to October, when the animals are most active.
