Llotja de la Seda
Llotja de la Seda, located on Carrer de la Llotja in the heart of Valencia, is a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its Gothic architecture. Completed in 1548, this former silk exchange played a pivotal role in the city’s mercantile history, showcasing Valencia’s once-thriving silk trade. The building features intricate stonework and a soaring hall that spans 30 meters in height, making it a remarkable example of late Gothic design. During the month of July, visitors can explore various exhibitions that celebrate the rich history of silk in the region. As you wander through its grand halls, you’ll encounter stunning frescoes and an impressive octagonal column that perfectly reflect the building's historical significance.
