Torre del Micalet
Rising above the skyline of Valencia, Torre del Micalet is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Valencia, situated in the heart of the Ciutat Vella district. Constructed between 1381 and 1425, this iconic structure stands at 51 meters and features a unique mix of Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. Originally designed to house the cathedral's bells, visitors can climb its 207 steps to enjoy panoramic views of the city. It’s particularly captivating in late September during the Fallas Festival when the streets buzz with celebrations. At the tower, you can not only appreciate its historical significance but also take in the vibrant surroundings of the Plaza de la Virgen.
