Dunham Massey Hall
Dunham Massey Hall, situated just 4 miles southwest of Manchester city center, is a historic house dating back to the 18th century. Originally built as a country estate for the Stamford family, it later served as a hospital during World War I, reflecting its multifaceted history. Today, this well-preserved Georgian mansion serves as a museum showcasing period rooms and historical artifacts. Open year-round, visitors can explore the beautifully landscaped gardens, which include over 200 species of trees and a herd of fallow deer roaming the grounds.
