Zoo Batumi
Zoo Batumi sits in the heart of the city, specifically along the lively street of Mtsvane Kheivani. Opened in 1985, it spans 36 hectares and is home to over 400 animals representing around 65 different species, providing a vibrant space for education and conservation. This zoo features a mix of native Georgian wildlife as well as exotic animals, allowing visitors to explore and learn about biodiversity. During the spring months, particularly in May, families often flock to the zoo to enjoy the rejuvenation of nature and see the animals at their most active. In addition to viewing exhibits, guests can participate in organized tours that highlight the zoo's commitment to animal welfare and education.
