North Pond Nature Sanctuary

  North Pond Nature Sanctuary sits at 2610 North Cannon Drive in Chicago's Lincoln Park, nestled within the larger expanse of Lincoln Park. Dating back to 1999, the sanctuary was established to provide a natural habitat for migrating birds and a respite for city dwellers. The main feature of the sanctuary is its 45-acre wetland area, complete with boardwalks and walking paths that allow visitors to immerse themselves in nature. During the spring months, particularly in April and May, migratory birds flock to the area, offering birdwatchers a chance to see species such as wood ducks and great blue herons.
