Sutro Baths
Sutro Baths, nestled alongside the Pacific Ocean at 1004 Point Lobos Avenue in San Francisco, was built in 1896 as a large saltwater swimming complex. This historic site once featured multiple pools fed by ocean water, with the largest pool spanning about 512 feet in length. Now a captivating ruin, the Sutro Baths offers visitors stunning views of the cliffs and shoreline, especially during sunset. In the spring, wildflowers bloom nearby, adding a colorful touch to the scenery. Guests can explore the remains of the baths and enjoy a stroll along the coastal trails while keeping an eye out for seals and seabirds in their natural habitat.
