« And also about the tickets in Disneyland and other expenses 🎡 It's always worth calculating that on the weekdays there will be fewer people and prices are lower, which is actually quite noticeable 💰 For example, the cost of a ticket on a weekday is around 55 dollars (~55), while on weekends it's about 70 dollars (~70). And yes, you can still buy tickets on-site: the prices are the same as online, just sometimes you might waste time standing in those lines 🤷‍♂️

Don't forget about additional expenses that are inevitable in Disneyland itself. Since in the park you can’t bring your own food, they only allow a small water bottle (500ml), I think there’s a limit in general. And here it feels more like a businessland than Disneyland 😄 So, the cheapest meal will set you back around 15 dollars (~15), not bad, right?! 😂🙌

It's definitely worth planning to spend the whole day in the park ☀️ Don't be lazy and get there early to have enough time to visit all the attractions 🎢 We actually had great luck, and we managed to see all of Disneyland 🙌 »

« Shanghai... airport Hongqiao... parking... phone... electric car... man behind the wheel... 15 minutes, 4 dollars and you’re home... Every time I come back to Shanghai, I fall more in love with the infrastructure of this city... I believe not many countries allow you to drop off at a parking lot through an app!!!! choose an electric!!!! car, through the same app open the door, sit behind the wheel, drive to the nearest parking for electric cars, return the car through the app, pay at the rate of $0.07 per minute and go home?!? »

« Almost 9 hours of flight, thank goodness for fast travel! 👏🏻
Can you imagine?!
In China, popular apps and social media like Viber, Instagram, Facebook, etc., are banned. I spent the whole day trying to solve this issue, finally resorted to downloading a VPN and yay - I'm connected!
The city is very interesting, with a multitude of skyscrapers neighboring smaller buildings, where the size of an apartment can reach only 6-9 square meters. 🙈
And the average housing cost in Shanghai is around $15,000 per square meter. 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑  »

« - The tallest building in China. It stands at 632 meters, and it took just 4 years to construct! From the 119th floor, you get an astonishing view of the city. The high-speed elevator whisks you up in a couple of minutes, or even less. Unfortunately, I couldn't go back in the evening; the tower was shrouded in fog, but during the day it was definitely worth visiting. The entrance isn’t cheap at around $26 for one ticket, but it's worth it. »

« The Disney Store in Shanghai! I have to say, the prices aren't low; on average, a small stuffed toy can cost no less than $10. »

« Entrance to the Jingan Temple for foreigners is $10, while it's free for locals. »

« A Disney store has opened in Shanghai. Well, actually quite a few have opened since my last visit a year ago, but this one is a big, beautiful, unique Disney store right across from the TV tower. I have to say, stores in different countries vary quite a bit. The purely Chinese takes on Mickey and Minnie didn't really appeal to me. But this pair, judging by the prices, seems to have arrived from Japan. Meet the sleeping Mickey and Minnie ;) They’re snoozing on star-shaped pillows. A perfect addition to my collection ;)) »

« I’m in Shanghai!

I arrived here from Hangzhou by train, traveling at speeds over 300 km/h.

I was lucky with the weather, so I took a stroll in the city center, where there are countless skyscrapers and lots of people.

Initially, I wanted to visit an observation deck, but the price ranged from 160 to 220 yuan, which is about $22 to $30. And there was a long queue. I had a chance encounter with a really interesting person, Andrey from Bryansk, who suggested a way to get to the top for free and without any lines.

In the end, I went up in the daytime and then got brave enough to go up again after sunset.

The view was fantastic. The weather was great. Smiling people all around and a very beautiful, modern city.

Shanghai, China. »

« Taking a taxi in Shanghai is quite an experience. Most of the drivers seem rather anxious. For instance, right at the airport, we witnessed a scuffle between taxi drivers (apparently arguing over who gets to take a passenger). And you know how it is with the phrase "taxi, taxi cheap"? Well, we saw an outrageous offer at the airport to take us to the hotel for about $70! Taxi fares can be pretty steep, so it's essential to negotiate. If there's a meter, keep your wits about you, as they might take the long route. 🚖💸 »

« The price for these cigarettes is almost $7. I still don’t get the appeal. I bought them purely because of the high price tag. After all, when will I smoke the local Shanghai cigarettes again? »

« This is a high-speed train that takes about one and a half hours to get from Shanghai to Nanjing, traveling at a speed of 300 km/h, with air conditioning. The ticket costs around $40. 😊
But I really struggled with my suitcases while getting from the airport to the train station. The main thing is, the journey from Shanghai airport to the station took 2 hours. »

« In a Taoist temple in Shanghai, you can purchase a personal icon cell. The bottom row is the cheapest, at 100 yuan (about 15 dollars). However, the gods don't always reach the lower rows, so it's better not to rely too much on their mercy. The luckiest ones are at the top, but the prices are steep, reaching several thousand yuan. »

« Global Harbor is an incredibly large shopping center. Prices in Shanghai aren't exactly cheap; they tend to be higher compared to many places, but again, you can’t really compare that to back home. For example, you can buy a high-quality branded t-shirt for around $12-15. As for groceries, it's not expensive at all; we buy 0.5 liters of water every day for about $0.10! 😊 »

« Just a few words about Shanghai, as promised. Regarding prices: I thought that being in China meant everything would be super cheap, but restaurants, clothing, and hotels are quite reasonable, though not dirt cheap either. The restaurants offer great food quality, and unlike in Hainan or Beijing, you can find any international cuisine without the interference of "sweet and sour sauce" 🍽️. »

« The subway is nice, not too crowded, and the ticket costs $0.60. »

« Shanghai can be an ideal place to live. You just need to find the right spots. The developed infrastructure, all the conveniences for a comfortable life, reasonable prices, and a huge variety of fruits and vegetables make it special. 🌟🥭🍍 »

« The high-speed train travels across the country at speeds exceeding 300 km/h... Beijing - Shanghai, 1300 km - first class, 4.5 hours, price 110 dollars... Sometimes it's better to copy well than to just sit idly... Even the stuffy Europe is lagging behind... what can we say about ourselves... And about the fabrics, I've heard you need to know the secret password. »
@igor_kuchmin
« Another Apple store with a crowd that's impossible to navigate around the displays. It's a paradox that prices are higher than in Europe and the U.S., even though it's produced in China. »
