Metro
Kuala Lumpur's Light Rail Transit (LRT) costs RM1.20 to RM6.40 per ride, covers key attractions like Bukit Bintang and KLCC, and you can use a Touch 'n Go card for hassle-free travel. For the best value, consider the Rabbit Card for unlimited rides on public transport and to save time at ticket machines.
Taxi
Kuala Lumpur's taxis are available 24/7 and typically charge a starting fare of RM3.00 plus RM0.25 for each subsequent kilometer, but always insist on using the meter to avoid being overcharged. « The flying mother in all senses 😄 at the biggest bird park))) A couple of people in the story sparked my superpowers and no, this is not Photoshop, of course)) It just happened that I couldn’t manage to take a normal shot in the park, so here we are, with a bird looking happy 😄✌️. We visited all the places we wanted in Kuala-Lumpur and they will be remembered.

🐦 In the vast territory, there are loads of different birds, from tiny ones to majestic predators. The highlight of this place is that the entire park is covered by a giant net that stretches across the whole perimeter. Birds have plenty of places to fly and they are all well-fed. Inside the park, there are several educational centers, a playground for kids, and an area with a waterfall.

One thing I didn’t like at all – it’s the food, mind you, it's everywhere, where there's a large gathering of birds. It seemed pretty to look at, but staying long to watch was not particularly pleasant. It was also stiflingly hot; if you’re not used to nature, it can be tough to withstand the end of the day visiting. One should adjust to the weather and take plenty of water.

💚 Overall, it was engaging and a great option for children’s development, and every child will see some unique birds for the first time. But for me, in any case – it’s a two-edged sword, as there the freedom is limited. Such mixed feelings linger. 🤷‍♀️

Kids up to 3 years old are free, my friend paid for the little one and we saved 😄 For adults, the entry fee is about $15.

🎡 I also added a photo where the Indian temple is located on the mountain. Everyone was debating whether to go there or not, given it was so hot. In the end, we ended up under the rain 😂🙈 It was easy to fit in there, not so comfortable just due to the crowd of people and not safe, climbing the 600 stairs. The kids went up brilliantly and then slid down themselves, surprisingly, with such enthusiasm and remained satisfied)).

Inside it's fantastic, somehow you fall into the Avatar movie, with waterfalls, mountains, and the green moss of nature. India surrounds you everywhere. The atmosphere is overwhelming and impressive! You should definitely go! Entrance is free.

💙 Thank you, Malaysia, for every day...

And as in a favorite song about the "green suitcase":
"Here it’s very beautiful, but we must move on, after all, we are not just here for fun..." »

« Kuala-Lumpur is the most incredible tropical destination we spent 5 days in one of the hotels here. ✨ The greenest Asian megacity, surrounded by multiple parks and lush greenery, where wild monkeys even live in the urban core. 🌿 The first ten floors of the hotel offer parking, but you won’t find cars congesting the area. 🌟 A distinctive feature in this place is the Monorail route - an excellent mode of transport without the need for a driver. 🚄 The dominating silhouette of Kuala-Lumpur is the Petronas Towers, named after the oil and gas company, being among the tallest buildings in the world. 🏙️

It features a glass and elastic concrete twin-tower structure, inspired by traditional Islamic designs and built to a height of 1,483 feet. 🌟 Its architecture reflects Islamic motifs with sustainability elements prominently incorporated. 🌍 The construction cost was around $800 million. 💰 An additional safety feature of the towers includes an aerial bridge, suspended on gigantic steel cables, since the towers sway, making fixed anchoring impossible. »

« I spent the entire week in Kualalumpur, and it almost feels like I could have easily stayed two. I was able to see and experience so much, but now I'm exhausted. Honestly, I can’t wait to get back home after this trip, where I’ll be living in my favorite place on earth, with my own transport and a routine that brings back normalcy. Big cities like this are not really my thing. Yes, it's beautiful and impressive, but I’m more drawn to nature and away from the hustle and bustle. The skyscrapers are, of course, stunning, and the surrounding areas are lovely. 😊 Just the thought of them already makes the journey to Kualalumpur worth it. »

« Apartments with a basement on the 37th floor - even so, it's worth visiting Kualalumpur for this view. But just for a day, it’s really quite limited. »

« So, here are a few reasons to visit Kuala Lumpur!

🔔 Visa-free entry for up to 30 days for most nationalities.
📍 Shopping. There's an unbelievable number of malls here for every taste! Also, you can find electronics at fabulous prices. The selection is vast, and prices are lower.
🍜 For those who haven’t traveled around Asia, Kuala Lumpur offers a fantastic opportunity to try various cuisines! Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, and many others. All the food is authentic and reasonably priced!
🌴 A perfect place for those who still haven't decided what type of jungle they prefer: concrete or green?! At first glance, the city may seem gray and "glass-like," but if you take a closer look, you’ll discover its life! Lots of parks with animals and trees that grow even on the roofs of buildings! Just 31 miles by bus/car, and you’re already in the mountains with stunning views and fresh air!
🙌 Comfort. Here, everyone speaks English fluently (which is rare for Asia!), and almost everywhere you can pay with a card, plus taxi rides won’t cost you a fortune!
✈️ Huge transit hub. From Kuala Lumpur, you can fly to any point in Asia for a song! Today, we are flying to Bali for $20 per person!!! Almost the same amount as getting a taxi!
🏢 And you might remember, the apartments with a splendid view and a glass cube from past posts do have their charm, don’t they?

Thinking about visiting here? 😉 Who wouldn’t want to add this list of highlights to their travel log! 👌🏼 »

« Overall, the city left a pleasant impression! For me, it's a blend of Tokyo and Bangkok - futurism and tropical greenery! I would be happy to come back here again. »

« Kuala Lumpur surprised us in the best way: it's a vibrant, modern, and diverse city. Lush greenery, stunning architecture, and plenty of smiles everywhere. I definitely feel a strong urge to visit again soon :-) »

« The city where I enjoy everything... even today's blazing sun. »
@lizokrock
« Even though people say there’s not much to do in Kuala Lumpur beyond a couple of days, I really enjoy it here. The incredible mix of skyscrapers, various temples, and lush jungles is simply a feast for the eyes. 🌆🌿 »

« My first impressions of Kuala Lumpur weren't great. The first place we visited was Chinatown, and we really didn't like it at all. Especially after Singapore. Everything felt very dirty, there were a lot of homeless people, piles of trash, some sketchy shops and dingy cafes, and the buildings looked old and grimy. It felt like stepping back into the 90s. Brrr. But we quickly escaped from there. After that, the city redeemed itself in our eyes with a surprisingly modern and reasonably clean downtown area. »

« I'm in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. It's really unique here, with lots of greenery and skyscrapers coexisting. We visited the bird park. The birds aren't kept in cages, and that's so cool! I made friends with a peacock :) »
@zlatamikha
« Kuala Lumpur captivated us with its blend of concrete jungles and lush greenery. »

« Kuala Lumpur is definitely worth a visit, just like Singapore. The main attractions here are food, shopping, and nightlife. 🌆🍜🛍️ »

« Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown.
The city of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of one of the most advanced countries in Southeast Asia, amazed me with its beauty, modernity, and humidity. I love the heat, but in KL, the warmth and humidity were so intense that my washed shirts didn’t dry at all in three days in the room, and I was starting to worry they might start to smell.
Everything is incredibly beautiful, exotic, and clean (especially noticeable for a big city), the skyscrapers seamlessly blend with giant trees, everything runs like clockwork, there’s no traffic, the roads are fantastic, and there’s virtually no crime (Malaysia is one of the safest countries in the world in this regard). There are three main ethnic groups in Malaysia - Indians, Chinese, and Muslims, yet there are no interethnic conflicts because the laws are strict and effectively enforced. It made me think how great it would be to have leaders like that. The laws are divided into two categories - for Muslims and for everyone else.
Everything is delightful and tasty, but the humidity is intense, and prices are quite high compared to Indonesia. »

« Kuala Lumpur. From today and onward, it will be all about this city - at a much lower intensity, but no less interesting! ☝️😼 For me, KL is a city to explore in 4 days - that’s how much time I needed to leisurely check off everything on my list of sights. I’m sure many might disagree with this – KL is a massive metropolis, blending a myriad of cultures, and there are always plenty of ways to entertain yourself. 👍 »
@julie.sokur
« Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia!!! An amazing city, a mix of three cultures - Malays, Chinese, Indians... And we feel great here!!!! »
@di_ostanova
« Kuala Lumpur has already captured our hearts. I’ve heard a lot of people say it’s a boring metropolis and doesn’t have that special energy that draws one to Asia. But after India, civilization feels like a luxury to us. We’re like kids enjoying conveniences such as the metro, escalators, and clear signage. The city is very clean and boasts plenty of greenery, which keeps the air fresh. The Malaysians themselves add to the pleasant experience. They are so kind and peace-loving. 🌿😊 »
