« Here I am on the second day of my trip, exploring what’s left to see! We went to check out the Coronation Hall - a place that’s simply beautiful, interesting, and a must-visit. The entrance fee is about 15 USD. You’ll want to spend around 2-3 hours there, ideally in the morning when it's less crowded. There are definitely fewer tourists, but the Chinese tourists arrive pretty quickly, filling the place up in no time.

After a stroll around the Royal Palace, we headed to MBK - think of it as a larger, more diverse version of a typical mall. The taxi drivers charged us 8 USD for about 3 miles. We bargained a bit, and they finally agreed on about 3 USD, so don’t forget to confirm the price in advance. If they refuse to use the meter, it's better to just walk away and find another ride.

One interesting find was Lays chips in a durian flavor! It's the usual kind of potato chips but with a totally unique aroma and sweet flavor. We thought they might not be to our taste, but they became our favorite snack.

Now for some prices (I’ll mention two costs for street/stores and restaurants): All prices are in Thai Baht:
- Tom Yum Soup: 2-10 USD
- Fresh juice: 1.50-3 USD
- Coconut: 1.50-2.50 USD
- Pack of assorted fruits: 1.50-3 USD
- Beer: 1.50-4 USD
- Accommodation (not hostels): starting around 11-12 USD with a shared bathroom and shower. »

« Bangkok. An amazing city, with road connections from three levels, a local metro that covers all areas, beautiful parks filled with exotic geckos, and a free-flowing ambiance that includes various small critters. 🌿 But when you explore the outskirts, you see a stark reality: neglected areas filled with garbage, stray dogs, small beggars, and crumbling structures. The cost of an unforgettable experience is quite reasonable: $4 for a bus from Pattaya (3 hours on the road) and $3 for food at the nearest 7-Eleven in Bangkok. 🍔 »

« Food massage - this is a traditional Thai foot massage, performed with a special stick. The procedure lasts for 1 hour and costs 200 Baht (which is about $6). »
@hoshiko_kuro
« In the center of Bangkok, in the park, it costs just $0.60 for 1 hour. We didn’t rent a boat, but we took a lot of photos there. »
@tbma1
« We visited the zoo park ;) A detailed report I'll post a bit later on Facebook, but here’s a short snippet. The price is 150 baht ($4.40) for foreigners + 50 baht for the sea lion show (highly recommended, the show is awesome). The zoo park is absolutely fantastic, there are many animals, everything is very well organized and quite pleasant. »

« Recently, one of my small dreams came true – to visit Safari Park in Bangkok. The main feature is that you drive your own car into the park, where there are no cages, and the tigers walk right alongside your vehicle. For those who love zoos, you don't have to choose where to go next, just drive around and explore at your own pace.

There are two parks, and getting from Pattaya takes about 2 hours. The entrance fee without the additional privileges is around $45, while with privileges it costs about $20 more. Not much of a difference, right?

My video about this place is available in my profile! »

« Public transport in Bangkok is quite an experience! 🌟 You can see everything from bustling street vendors to serene shrines, all while enjoying the vibrant life around you. During peak hours, a boat ride is faster and only costs about 45 baht. And often you're the only tourist on board! Well, besides us, of course. 😎😎😎 »
@nasty_nastle
« Crossing the city by water. Cheap and fast. No traffic jams. The fare is cheaper than by bus. 3 baht - about $0.09. And the enjoyment factor is unbeatable! 🚤✨ »
@varenievar
« Last evening in Bangkok. The ferry from one side to the other - 2 baht, which is about 0.06 dollars. :) »
@ivan_burunin
« The Grand Palace in Bangkok is truly the most beautiful and impressive sight I've ever seen in my life. I've never encountered anything like it! The meticulous attention to detail in the decor, the focus on the smallest elements, and the calligraphic paintings on the walls and ceilings—it's simply breathtaking! The entrance fee is 15 USD, and for an additional 6 USD, you can rent an audio guide for two hours, which is more than enough time. I highly recommend not skimping on time or money to experience this beauty. By the way, there's another attraction nearby—the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Also, the Bangkok National Museum is just a short distance away. »
@dozy_dreamer
« We visited a lovely thrift store and discovered the most beautiful ceramic dishes— I felt like taking them all home! They sell for around 0.45 USD per 100 grams of ceramics. 😊 »
@temchenkoru
« Over the last 7 months, new 1000-baht notes with an updated design have been circulating. Today's exchange rate at the airport is 33.59 baht for a dollar. »
@anastasi_polya
« Hi everyone! For those who are waiting for my photo report from Bangkok☺ Last night, we strolled down the bustling Khao San Road, tried some scorpions for just 0.60 USD, and I got myself this cool hat. Now I’m in the zone! »
@denis453100
« You can get from the airport to the center by airport express, the price is 35 baht, which is about 1 dollar. Just to compare, in other big cities, it might be around 6 dollars. »
@uliasav87
« By the way, for everyone heading to Bangkok, make sure to use the meter taxis! Those pink cars. If a tuk-tuk asks for 500 baht, a fixed taxi fare based on distance will come out to about 120 baht. I've checked, and it's reliable! 😊 »
@zhannafrisbi
« A boat ride for tourists originally costs 54 dollars for two for one hour, but after bargaining, it comes down to about 30 dollars. Riding the local ferry is just 0.09 dollars one way. »
@vikulika
« If you have a free day in Bangkok and have a love for animals and/or kids, I highly recommend visiting Safari World! The ticket price is around 35 USD per person, and it takes about 40 minutes by taxi (around 8-10 USD one way), but it's totally worth it. Hotels often offer tickets at better prices that include lunch, but we didn't go for that because we thought it was a bit of a scam. It's best to go in the morning; we went in the afternoon and had to rush to see everything.

There’s so much to see!!! The variety of animals is amazing, there are dolphin, sea lion, and orangutan shows at different arenas (all included in the price). You can feed birds and giraffes for an extra fee (1.50-3 USD), and there’s an incubator, tons of birds, and fish of all sizes and types. You start by walking around all the enclosures and shows, then you get on a little bus that takes you directly to the safari, and it's simply unforgettable! I've never seen so MANY animals together in my life! There are tons of pelicans, herons, giraffes, zebras, and rhinos all at the watering hole, then separated tigers and stunning Himalayan bears! All three of us really enjoyed it!!!! 🦒🌟 »

« SHOPPING IN THAILAND

For any girl, shopping is a delightful activity, especially in Thailand, because the prices are oh-so-pleasant ;) In the end, I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchases: for 1,200 THB (about $35), I got some hipster jeans for 200 THB (around $5.75), T-shirts for 100 THB (about $2.90), and toothpaste! Yes, yes... such a tiny box will probably last a year, super handy for camping and traveling. I also stocked up on argan oil, coconut shampoos, and conditioner made in Thailand. The food might not be my favorite, but shopping here is amazing ;) »
@chypikk
« 50 roses cost 50 baht (about $1.45). »
@irinashwarts
« Grand Palace in Bangkok, handmade bamboo umbrella. I bought it right by the palace for around $10. It's so beautiful! I really had to grab one! The heat, walking for hours, the humidity, my head was burning, and then suddenly, a little shade – a Thai guy opened the umbrella for me, and that’s when I realized what I was missing! Such a great souvenir! 😊 Oh, and the dress is handmade from Thailand by a local designer! Super cool and made of natural fabrics, and the price... just $7! 😊 »
@boybrand1
« Khao San Road, rooms starting from $9, pad Thai from $1, shawarma $2, shakes from $1, massages from $4.50, laundry around $0.90 per kg. You can get fake documents, smoke, and so much more. Everything is good quality and delicious! »
@ulianochka90
« Give me more Thai massages for the masses! 6.30 USD for an hour‼️ That's incredibly cheap! »
@lifeinnhatrang
« You can get to/from Bangkok Airport via the Airport Rail Link, also known as the City Line, which heads into the city center. The second to last stop is at Baiyoke Sky Hotel. The fare to Baiyoke Sky is 40 baht, and to the final station, it's 45 baht. Super convenient! In just half an hour, you’ll be right there :) »
@lifeinnhatrang
« This is what the inside of a boat looks like that transports locals :) On the way, we even hit some traffic :))) Around the 16th station, the ferry disconnected from one side of the bank to the other. We waited for about 15 minutes while they raised the sagging cable it was hanging on. By the way, a ticket to the final station costs only 19 baht :) cheap and fast :) »
@lifeinnhatrang
« The view from the 84th floor of the Baiyok Sky Hotel is simply stunning! Entry to the observation deck costs 400 baht, which includes one complimentary drink per person. You can also opt for a dinner package at one of the restaurants on the top floors, with prices starting at around 1,000 baht per person, depending on the restaurant. »
@vincentmakovsky
« Often in condos on the first floor, there is parking and several washing machines. One wash costs about $0.87. »
@amursk2008
« Here's the metro in Bangkok. Signs in the airport are everywhere, everything is clear. By the way, the express train departs from the basement level of the main airport. You buy a little yellow token, which costs about $1.30 to the final destination (the city center). And then you just wait for the express. Not for long... »
@amursk2008
« My hotel for the first couple of days. Not great, but what surprised me was the pool. It's called New Siam II, located near the Chao Phraya River. Close to Khao San Road. Clean and affordable, especially with the old prices. $24 per night plus a $15 deposit. »
@nika_letto
« In Bangkok, besides the above-ground and underground transport, there's also water transport. You can navigate the river on little boats. It's fast, interesting, unique, and quite convenient. There are tourist boats and regular ones. A ride on a tourist boat will cost around 4.30 USD, although they might try to charge you more. On the other hand, a ticket for a regular boat costs about 0.43 USD. You can recognize the regular boats by their blue and orange flags. »
@katerinka3003
« Flowers in Bangkok are surprisingly cheap! This bouquet costs only $2. »
@naira_martirosyan
« In Bangkok, there are countless temples, and each one is special. In this temple, the largest golden seated Buddha statue watches over the order and the connection with higher powers. Entry inside costs about $1.50, but we decided not to buy a ticket and take a look from the outside instead. We absolutely don’t regret it! »
@korablenok
« We got acquainted with the subway, which has a pretty complicated system. First, you approach the ticket counter and tell them the station you need. The subway worker tells you how much the fare is (by the way, the subway is quite pricey there; we paid around 1 to 1.5 USD for a single ticket, and there don’t seem to be any monthly passes. If you’re commuting daily, it adds up to quite a sum!).

So, they tell you that for 2 tickets it’s 2.5 USD, you hand over a 100 baht bill. The lady with a sweet smile returns your 100 baht but in coins, and points to a corner where there are odd-looking machines. You go over to them, select the fare for your ticket, and start inserting coins, one by one.

They definitely don’t take the easy way out! 😄 »
@greyuit
« The train is the cheapest and fastest transport from Don Mueang Airport to the center of Bangkok. It takes only 1 hour and costs 60 baht. »
@ermakovep
« The cheapest bus in Bangkok. No air conditioning, but just $0.20. »
@alexpavlove
« Bangkok. Shopping)) We got a bag full of things for just $13!))) »
