« Many photos are known as one of the most photogenic places in the world! And even if you're not a photographer, you should definitely see it ;) Photo by a friend. »
« Dream.
I was on one of the roofs in Tallinn when I noticed a balloon in the distance. My eyes lit up, and I felt a surge of energy because I had wanted to do this for so long.
It took about 15 minutes to get to the old town. For those who plan to visit this area and want to have an unforgettable experience, the balloon is always near the passenger port. Just ask the locals. The ticket costs around $30, which is reasonable for such an experience.
The balloon floats tied to a rope and rises to about 200 meters. The entire town is beautifully visible from up there. You can see the contrast between the old town and the modern buildings, while on the other side, the ocean and its beauty unfold. An extraordinary sight. The basket is designed in such a way that people can’t fall out, surrounded by its unique netting. Inside, there’s a control panel.
My dream came true, as I’ve wanted this for a long time, and it brought me such joy.

« Talin. Kiek-in-dike museum and the underground bastions.
This is the most powerful Tallinn tower. On its 6 floors, you can see a round panoramic view of the city. You can only access the underground through guided tours. They tell stories about the people who lived there during different times without a specific place of residence, the punks, and even hint at some strange activities 👀. The bastions saved many lives during the sieges in old times.
After visiting this museum, I decided that I definitely need to relax from them 🤓. »
« It turned out that we picked a rather quiet time to visit Tallinn, although it should have been the end of January...
✅ The best part is the small number of tourists 😂 Everyone who came to enjoy the holidays has already left, and the main tourist flow hasn't kicked in yet.
✅ Despite the Christmas decorations having been taken down, the city still looks wonderfully festive, adorned with lights and decorations all around. There’s a beautiful Christmas tree in the central square, and at every corner, you can find stalls selling local treats, making the atmosphere very cheerful.
✅ We arrived on a weekday, which gave us the chance to check out the beautiful scenery, and we were able to wander where we wanted. But on the weekend, it was a bit challenging - in the Old Town center, finding a place in a café was tough as locals were out and about just like tourists. I can only imagine the crowds that must swarm there during the peak season 😫.
✅ The weather was comfortable for strolling around, just above freezing. Luckily, the rain was brief, so compared to our typical experience in Tallinn, it felt like spring.
The only downside was that not all museums and attractions were open, either because of a strange work schedule or because they closed until April-May.
P.S. Tallinn is overall a gorgeous medieval city, stunning with its Gothic architecture that practically doesn’t allow for horizontal shots 🤣. »
« In Tallinn, we spent a shorter time than ever before, but even during these brief hours, it stole my heart😍 I’m already considering when to return there next time:)
Despite the limited time, we managed to see so much. And in this stunning spot immersed in light, apart from the flicker of candlelight, everything around us was wooden. Then we met a host who conjured images from the works of classic literature. We enjoyed a delicious soup made with local fish for only 3 euros, which was served in a charming setting that perfectly matched the atmosphere. And yes, no plastic spoons! It’s located right in the building of the town hall on the main square. »
« Elka in the center of Tallinn gave me a wave of excitement 😄
First of all, I was surprised that it still costs (and is even beautifully decorated), and secondly, it really is alive! You look at it, and immediately a New Year’s mood appears, making you feel like a child again! Happiness in little things 🙏 »
« The city of red roofs, free Wi-Fi, gingerbread houses, remnants of the Soviet Union, expensive real estate, and pointless government spending. Tallinn, I’ll be back more than once. »
« Mimicry in the city of Tallinn. You know, sometimes a city just burrows deep into your soul for reasons you can't quite grasp. I wasn't there long, and nothing particularly special happened. But now it's mine: the grandeur of antiquity and cobblestones, intertwined with silence and fog, whispering facades, narrowness, curves, spires, walls, the enchanting Tallinn – a return is inevitable. »
« Thank you, toy city, for the amazing impressions!
Of course, I will definitely come back ♡ at least to make up for the missed shopping! »
« When I first visited Tallinn, it was in the 70s, and I fell in love with this city. I had long dreamed of returning here... But when we arrived, we were greeted by wet, windy weather, and the place was almost deserted... At least the city center. »
« I dream of returning to this spring. I want to go back to Tallinn. »
« A very quiet and peaceful city, where it's hard to understand where people are hiding☺️ I definitely couldn't live in a place like this; in such cities, I realize that I really love my bustling life. Although, Tallinn undoubtedly has its own charm. »
« Old Tallinn. Estonia. I never thought I would be so impressed; Estonia knows how to surprise. »
« Tallinn is charming even in bad weather. »

« Tallinn left an impression of a cool and reserved Estonian "guy." The cobblestone streets of the old town, narrow alleys, and the cries of seagulls – that's how Tallinn will always stay in my memory. And the cats. An abundance of cats inhabit all the souvenir shops in the city. There are clay cats, glass cats, wooden cats, knitted cats, cats painted on canvas, and printed on T-shirts, scarves, bags, and pillows. 🐱✨ »
« The weekend was simply wonderful. I haven't been to Tallinn in the summer for a long time, and I was reminded once again how much I love this city. 🌞 »
« The journey through Tallinn is now officially closed. The city left the warmest and most pleasant impressions. Would I visit this charming place again? Probably, yes. But in my personal ranking of the best cities in Europe, there is another favorite. »
