« Main three tips if you're heading to 🇩🇪 this winter, and honestly, you might want to just stay cozy inside. ☕️ But if you do go out, don’t forget your wallet because the prices in pubs for a pint start from around $9. 🍻 And yes... the most important tip: make sure to find a clean and free toilet in the area! 😄 »

« What a trip it is! 🌌 At night, it feels much more atmospheric, but during the day, it can be all in the open air 🍹🍸, minus the lobby vibe 💕💕💕🤤. Clean lines, simplicity in design, nothing like doing a baroque or renaissance theme 😅. Interestingly, only 13% of the buildings in Finland were built before 1920 🏠.

So, it seems this establishment has a very modern distinction, understated yet somehow "cold." But there’s no warmth here, no beauty or openness like in some places I’ve been to. The sauna is also less inviting 😂.

I was slightly taken aback, of course. The hours of silence—they're all made of wood, and in form, it resembles an egg, which stands out against the gray backdrop of rectangular buildings 🥚. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get in (but at least it was closed already).

The balcony at the zoological museum is a unique spot that caught my eye during the day 🦭❤️. Honestly, I feel more at home 💖. You can also take a trip to Helsinki for some fresh experiences 🚀. »

« Why do people say there's nothing to do in Helsinki? Even in a windy blizzard, when it was cold, we managed to appreciate the beauty of the architecture here. You can just stroll around, admire the columns, eaves, windows, and so on. 😊

The iron railway station, like a monumental guardian of the city, became our temporary refuge. It looks magnificent in its frost with stone statues on the sides, and it was warm inside. Oh, and the food was delicious, especially the yogurt (photo 2).

Senate Square with its white Cathedral is really beautiful at this time of year. It was built in a Petersburg style, and we felt at home here.

The Uspenski Cathedral (photo 4) looked down on us from its heights, and we really enjoyed this brick beauty.

This time we didn't go for typical gastronomic experiences in Helsinki, so we settled for a cozy place with a Swedish table called RAX (photos 5, 6). By the city's standards, the prices were more than reasonable (we spent about $21.9 for the two of us), considering the central location, unlimited portions, and a variety of seafood. I can't say the food blew me away, but this dessert was surprisingly tasty. Yum-yum!

We also bumped into a group of typical brutal Viking-Finns. They were so distinctive that I almost couldn't take my eyes off their green-eyed side. I was hoping they’d grab some guitars and rock out in that atmosphere. 😂😂

We had a great time! We even told each other: “At least…” and went on. Someday, we’ll look back at this memory, knowing winter isn’t the best time to get acquainted with Europe. But for now, we’re enjoying what we can without freezing! »

« This is not Kensington in London, this is Helsinki 😊
A square meter of residential space in the city center costs about the same as a square meter in various upscale areas - around 10,500 euros. Some organize hotels in such residential buildings, which is cheaper than staying at major hotel chains. Instead of a room in the center of Helsinki on the last floor of an old building, you can get a balcony with beautiful flowers where the breeze carries the scent of the surroundings - quite nice! 😳 Finns prefer not to chat if there is a possibility of doing so. Oh, and one more thing - they won’t squeeze in the lift with you. Such a national peculiarity! 😊 »

« I loved sunny, uncrowded, and architecturally minimalist Helsinki. »

« In Helsinki, we loved everything except the currency exchange rate. We drove around, and finding free parking in the city center was quite the quest! "Why look for free parking?" you might ask. Well, because paid parking costs up to $7.50 per hour. 😅 »
