Parque da Cidade
Parque da Cidade sits at the entrance of the Foz do Douro district in Porto, stretching over an expanse of 83 hectares. Officially opened in 1993, this sprawling park was designed to enhance the city's green spaces and provide a natural escape for residents and visitors alike. One of its main features is the picturesque lake, which is home to various bird species, including swans and ducks. From April through September, the park buzzes with life as locals gather for picnics, jogs, and leisurely strolls along its well-maintained paths. Visitors can also explore the diverse flora, featuring over 200 species of trees, making it not just a space for recreation, but also a place for nature enthusiasts to enjoy.
