« Madrid is significant.
We took a train from Barcelona, traveling at a speed of about 150-200 km/h, so it was quick and comfortable. Buy your tickets in advance! We worked on it for two days, and by the time we got to tourist class, there were no seats left. 😂 Either purchase tickets at the vending machine at the station or online. At ticket counters, they only sell tickets for the current day.

First impressions of Madrid - typical European city. Spacious, clean, with beautiful buildings, but nothing extraordinary. In the center, it's quite crowded with tourists, walking can be a bit difficult, almost like being in a bustling area. 😄 Anyway, we managed to explore the whole center in one day, visit the Prado, take a walk a couple of times, and do some shopping. 😂

Definitely go to the Prado - it's a must, even if you aren't an art enthusiast. It's a very rich collection of masterpieces, and the ticket is quite affordable. The photo is of the Velázquez Palace in Retiro Park. »

« How movies are watched in Madrid :)
Showtimes start at 4:15 PM, 4:30 PM. There are around 7 screens. 2 ticket counters opened about half an hour before the shows. Prices start from €6 (around $6.50). »

« One of the three jobs outside the city has had a fast train service since September 2015, with a travel time of just over 2 hours. Ticket prices start from $22 one way. »

« "Ticket to Madrid is $280, a central apartment with a huge terrace costs €34, a cocktail is €2, and getting into a party of the Socialist Workers' Party - priceless! :D" »

« In Madrid, you can visit any museum for free if you arrive two hours before closing, saving around $30 (for two people), and you can do this every day. I would totally go! 😜 You get to stroll through the city in the evening and then spend a couple of hours in the Prado. I really enjoyed it! 😊 »

« A few years ago, there was a huge line at the main palace in Spain during the New Year holidays, and we didn’t go. This time we managed to visit, but honestly.. it’s not worth it. It doesn't justify the $13 admission fee, even though it's the largest in Europe. As they say, they haven't learned how to make the most of it 😏🇪🇸 »

« First, I dropped off the car at the train station and headed to enjoy some sangria and stroll through the park. Check out this little pond in Retiro Park! For 7 euros, you can rent a boat for 45 minutes. A maximum of 4 people in a boat. 😊 »

« Today, I explored the entire (absolutely entire) Prado Museum. I spent 5 hours on it. I walked through 103 halls and saw around 1000 paintings. The Prado impressed me from the very first moments and continued to do so until the very last hall! The ticket price is currently about $18. There’s a free luggage storage service in the museum. If you’re in Madrid, you must visit. No, not just must—you MUST visit! 🎨✨ »

« Funny airport! If you arrive at terminal T4S and need to pick up your luggage, you have to take a train that takes about 10 minutes to T4, and only then can you get your bags. Also, a SIM card inside the airport (near the baggage claim area) costs 100 euros for 2GB of data, but as soon as you step out into the arrival area, the price drops to 15 euros. Wtf? »

« Hello from Spain! Even though we went to bed late, we naturally woke up around 6-7 AM. Then we started thinking about what to do. We visited the market, enjoyed the local fast food vibe, and headed to the Prado Museum. It's not a fashion museum but an art gallery. Well, I must say, it’s not really my thing, and I hope the art lovers forgive me. However, one thing was nice: instead of paying €14 for a ticket, I used my student card and paid only €7. My friend had to shell out the full price, though 😅. Conclusion: the museum is highly recommended in all the travel guides, but I just didn’t find it interesting. By the way, that’s not the museum in the photo. »

« At the airport, we had some pastries and coffee. By the way, in Domodedovo Airport, a croissant with filling costs about $6.50, while here in the airport it’s €2.50. »

« This is not just a bike. It's a super mega bike with a motor! As soon as you start pedaling, the motor helps you out. This is really convenient with all the ups and downs in Madrid.
The system is the same as in other places. You pick it up at one spot and drop it off at another. It's only available for residents. Luckily, my friend had a card. It costs 30 dollars a year plus 60 cents per hour of riding. Not expensive at all! »

« A small castle, just a few kilometers away. I recently saw a note in the newspaper about its sale, with a price of $17 million. The castle was last used as a restaurant and a small hotel. »
@natashapush
« In art, one can easily get lost. It's vast. The painting "The Nude Maja" by Goya is still missing. I need to go back again. Especially since entry is free every day from 6 PM to 8 PM. That's a savings of about $30 for two! :) »
@karpov1986
« Evening Madrid is quite fascinating, and the prices in supermarkets are interesting too. I didn’t expect it to be so reasonable here. »
@anderson25rus
« Just two and a half hours on the AVE Renfe high-speed train from Barcelona-Sants, and we’re in the capital of Spain. The train is super fast, reaching speeds of up to 300 km/h. The ticket price is around 130 dollars per person. »
@olga.la
« The botanical garden is very well-maintained, with plenty of plants, and the entrance fee is only €3. 🌿😊 »
