« Bicentenario Park. I was convinced that the name came from the word "bici" - bike. But it turned out to be much more logical - it's the park of the 200th anniversary. We found a pond with flamingos and fed them by hand. A pinch of food costs $0.10. The animals are happy, and the feeders are satisfied. 😄🌸 »

« A symbol of Chile could very well be a three-liter bottle of Coca-Cola. The country is highly globalized, or rather Americanized, especially noticeable compared to neighboring Argentina. Street food, clothing, and contemporary music all evoke associations with the USA. I’m not sure if it’s a consequence or a cause, but unlike most countries in South America, the economy here is doing pretty well. It has the lowest level of corruption in Latin America, a high GDP per capita, and promising development dynamics. And, most importantly for us, prices are quite reasonable. Taking a bus for the same distance that would cost more in Argentina is three times cheaper here. »

« I'm torn between staring out the window for six hours or taking a $60 taxi to get out of here. At least I'm glad I made it; they initially couldn't find my reservation at the hotel. »
