As is often the case, it's not about the outward appearance but the inner essence. This stunning structure took 11 years to build, cost 600 million euros, features a dome made of Swarovski crystals spanning 12 tons and 15 meters in length, has 82 domes, 1096 columns, and boasts the largest carpet in the world at 5,500 square meters.

« Abu Dhabi - Astana..?

On our days off, we traveled to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the Emirates. We really enjoyed it. It’s a great spot for those who want to take a break from the bustling city life. Unlike Dubai, Abu Dhabi is quieter and less crowded with tourists. It's calm and green, perfect for family vacations or a laid-back lifestyle. You can say Dubai is like a vibrant city while Abu Dhabi feels more like a serene town. They have impressive skyscrapers too, but it doesn't feel as overwhelming as in Dubai, despite Abu Dhabi being quite wealthy.

🚕 You can reach Abu Dhabi by taxi for about $80-90, or take a bus that departs every half hour for around $7.

Abu Dhabi doesn't fall short on entertainment options. Here’s where you can go:

🤲 Sheikh Zayed Mosque. One of the most beautiful and largest mosques in the world. It features stunning chandeliers adorned with Swarovski crystals, the most expensive being displayed there. The mosque also boasts the world’s largest carpet, weighing 47 tons. Entry is free, but you must remove your shoes at the entrance, so I recommend wearing flip-flops since the marble can be quite cold. The atmosphere is really breathtaking. I highly recommend visiting this mosque. 😍

🏎 Ferrari World. We didn't manage to spend much time there since you really need a whole day to enjoy all the attractions, but we definitely made a stop. Tickets for adults cost around $61, while for children it’s $45. There are over 20 major attractions to check out.

🏨 Emirates Palace. This hotel is one of the most luxurious in the world, with construction having utilized two tons of gold. Entry is free, and anyone can enjoy its stunning architecture.

🎨 Louvre Abu Dhabi. Recently opened, the ticket costs around $16. It features exhibitions of priceless artifacts brought from French museums. The main highlight here is "The Beautiful Ferroniere" by Leonardo da Vinci. We haven't been to the Louvre in Paris due to the overwhelming crowds, but we plan to visit this one in Abu Dhabi. There, you won't find the same hustle and bustle.

🌊 We also strolled along the waterfront. Locals set up picnics there, but it’s hard to find a spot to buy snacks. You can also visit the Heritage Village, which is free of charge, where you can see how Arabs lived 50 years ago. It’s really fascinating. »

« The famous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, located in Abu Dhabi, is one of the largest mosques in the world. Just a few hours by buses and taxis from Sharjah, you’ll witness true wonders of light. 🌟🌟🌟 The mosque's entrance was recently made completely accessible for everyone, regardless of nationality or faith. Entry is free, with only one condition - you must wear appropriate clothing, like a dress or abaya, which is provided for women upon entry.

It's important to note that you might have to walk for a couple of hours across a massive marble courtyard, bustling with thousands of visitors. The traditional women’s attire is handed out to all women and girls at the entrance. This is absolutely essential! The impression lasts a lifetime... 🌏✨ »

« On the opposite shore, there are two buildings - the first one is quite small and has a vintage vibe 😄, in contrast to the second one, which is a modern skyscraper (about 1,115 ft) 🌇 - this is the headquarters of a national oil company. According to our guide's words, you can tell how the price of oil has increased over the years by looking at that place 💰✋🏼🤔. »
