Meiji Jingu Shrine
Meiji Jingu Shrine sits at the edge of the bustling Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, providing a tranquil escape from the urban landscape. Built in 1920, the shrine honors Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, reflecting Japan’s transition into a modern state. Characterized by its serene forested pathways, visitors can admire the iconic torii gate with a height of 12 meters as they walk towards the main shrine building. In December, the grounds come alive with visitors participating in New Year's rituals, allowing them to experience traditional Japanese culture firsthand. Strolling through the lush grounds, guests can also find various seasonal flora, including beautiful cherry blossoms in spring and vibrant maples in autumn.
