Getting Around

Taxi
Cebu's taxis are widely available, with fares starting at ₱40 and a meter increment of ₱13.50 per kilometer, making them an affordable way to navigate the city. Always check that the meter is running when you hop in; this avoids any disputes over fares later, especially in areas like Ayala Center or IT Park.
On Foot
Cebu City’s sidewalks are best explored on foot for free, especially around landmarks like Magellan's Cross and Fort San Pedro, offering a closer look at local life and culture. For safety, avoid walking at night in less populated areas and stick to well-lit streets.

« Well, on the second day, the main highlight of our trip here became the world-famous experience: "Swimming with whale sharks in the open ocean." 🐋🙈 This is definitely worth your time, energy, and means.

Minimum, just to clarify, this is NOT about swimming with dolphins.)))

It's a direct connection to nature when you see and feel a completely different life. There’s an unbelievable beauty around. 😻

The fish turned out to be way bigger than we had seen in pictures. 😂 It's a blessing that the world can be so diverse and amazing, and most importantly, that we have the opportunity to experience every bit of it. 🌍🐋💦 »

« Today, I visited the local grocery store. I can't help but feel that the locals don’t really care about their nutrition. I specifically noticed what they were buying – and I was disappointed... just some processed snacks, canned goods, and Knorr seasoning... 😕 »

« In the morning, we continued our exploration of Cebu City and visited the Taoist Temple, located in the wealthiest neighborhood - Beverly Hills. »
