Getting Around

Bus
Marseille's buses cover the city extensively, costing €1.70 per ride or €5 for a day pass, and tickets can be purchased on board with cash or via the TPG app. For seamless travel, get a free map from any metro station to easily plan routes to key spots like the Vieux Port and Palais des Congrès.
Car
Marseille's public parking costs €1.60 per hour in the city center, covering key areas like Le Panier and Vieux Port, so consider using the Park & Ride options near the Prado area for cheaper rates (€0.90 for all-day parking) while easily accessing central attractions via tram or metro. To avoid hefty fines, remember to display your parking ticket properly and pay attention to local street signs, especially in areas marked as blue zones.

« The French are such romantics... everything here breathes love. In the port of Marseille, flowers are sold for every taste. Adorn your love... and even though flowers cost money, emotions are priceless. 🌹❤️ »

« I searched for a beautiful phrase about this city for so long, but nothing felt right... It smells like the sea here, the promenade is unbelievably beautiful, and the coffee is delicious! I love Marseille. »

« Marseille is a port city. In my opinion, you can visit here once, but living here is impossible. It's very dirty, and there's a constant smell of fish. The streets are narrow, and the trash bins seem like they haven't been emptied in ages. I didn't go out at night, but I suspect that after midnight, all sorts of unsavory characters appear. There are a lot of drug addicts and fisherman drunks. Tomorrow, I'm going to explore more of Marseille, heading up to the hills, and I'll definitely share my impressions. 😊 »
