Zoo Frankfurt
Zoo Frankfurt is situated in the vibrant district of Bornheim, right near the iconic Berger Straße. Established in 1858, it has the distinction of being one of the oldest zoos in Germany. The zoo's main purpose is to provide a sanctuary for over 4,500 animals from around the world, including rare species like the Sumatran tiger. Each December, the zoo hosts its festive Christmas market, adding a seasonal charm to this family-friendly destination. Visitors can explore various habitats, from the African savannah to the Asian rainforest, and engage with educational programs that highlight wildlife conservation efforts.
