« In Spain, one of my favorite places has become the Palace of El Escorial. Yes, it's not just the palace itself, but the way it blends into the surrounding mountains and the strictness of the architectural ensemble.

Getting there from Madrid is best by train (takes about an hour), and then it's a pleasant stroll through the wide avenues. If you're planning to visit the palace itself, be aware that the ticket counters close early! 🎟️ »

« After hearing from some friends who visited Madrid that there’s nothing particularly special or interesting there, I figured that’s how it would be... But once I arrived in Barcelona, it became instantly clear that in Spain, this is precisely the birthplace of an incredible vibe, energy, and excitement.

As soon as I saw Madrid on the horizon during my travels, it was obvious that life here doesn’t just exist in one place; it pulsates everywhere. The hustle and bustle of people on the streets, huge lines at various eateries in the evening, the noise and buzz in crowded bars and cafes... And it’s just so cool!

The atmosphere is incredible! The architecture is stunning! You can feel the status and importance of the capital, but at the same time, there’s a youthful spirit that mixes in beautifully, causing this enchanting aura that enhances everything in a captivating way.

Madrid, you are amazing! 😍✨ »

« Gulyai. Getting acquainted with my hometown. A vast place with lovely parks surrounded by numerous highlights of history and culture. February reminds me of May in the city. 😊 »

« 💋MADRID💋
I’ve lived in Spain for four years now, and this was my first time visiting the capital of this amazing country. I want to share my impressions! 😘
Madrid is incredibly beautiful, with stunning architecture that takes your breath away. Everything feels so monumental and solid. Here, you feel like a little ant in a grand world, unlike the narrow spots where two people can hardly pass! 😅
The architecture astounds with its beauty; honestly, there are so many beautiful buildings that I regret not capturing them all in photos.
Overall, I must definitely return here. While I can see why many may not like Madrid, it certainly stole my heart! ❤️ »

« New destination on my map of the world. Spain! Madrid is a true European gem with its classic narrow streets where cars struggle to pass. Cobblestones. Balconies. Mini gardens. I absolutely loved the Prado Museum. Even though I wasn't a fan of Goya's work, the museum had so many other fascinating pieces. I could have spent hours there, really wanting to explore all the halls.

As for the local flamenco shows... I didn’t enjoy them at all. I kept checking the time hoping the show would end soon. Probably, this style appeals to some, or it might have been just the performers... the dancers were great. But the singers didn’t hit a single note. My ears, my ears... The cultural program was quite different! »

« For me, Madrid is a place where people aren't afraid to be themselves. They don't fear judgment for their appearance, for who they love, or for what makes them happy. »

« It’s amazing how many times I’ve been to Spain and still, I’m shocked! And, well, it doesn’t feel right, you know? Take Madrid for example. The capital of Spain. I never really wanted to visit, to be honest. And there’s nothing interesting that I can tell you about. It’s just too chill – too dull for my taste, although at night it transforms and becomes magical. So much more beautiful than during the day. But on the other hand, it's endlessly sunny! Almost 365 days of sun a year! And jamón! 😂😂😂 the tastiest jamón in the world! Honestly, share the photos for fun! »

« Right now, I want to share my experience about a trip I took 😁. I really loved it there; by the way, I went in March!)) Back when we still had snow, there everything was already green grass and sunshine 🌱🌞. For the first two days, we traveled the whole region in excursion buses, with the possibility of getting off at any stop)) And then... I started to think about what else to do. We found a castle 🏰 and went there for an hour and then spent more time on the bus, but it was totally worth it!)) You walk inside following the signs so you don’t get lost, you touch, you look, you sit... in general, you completely immerse yourself in this atmosphere with a full program)) Around the castle, there are wooden structures of the roots of the trees 😊.

The next day, we enjoyed a performance while sitting at cozy tables in a charming little restaurant. They didn’t skimp on the portions, even without sangria 🍷. I’m in love with Spain!)) Especially because of the positive and kind Spanish people)) »

« Today, I visited a really awesome place, THE GEOGRAPHIC CLUB. It's a bar-restaurant-pub all in one! 🎉🍹🍻

This place is super unique, with an incredible atmosphere and decor collected from all over the world. 🌍

I didn’t have lunch yet, but I’m definitely planning to try the specials they offer. I was really impressed by the cocktails! 🍸✌️

Located not far from Retiro Park, this spot is perfect to kick back and visit when you’re out for a stroll. Even if it's not super close... 😎 »

« One of the biggest misconceptions of humanity (and the biggest – that Spanish is an easy language) is that Madrid is considered a pretty dull city, an unremarkable self-sustaining destination. Yes, you might spend a day or a few hours wandering around – but not more, as a transfer point, like a comma in a complex sentence, where the visiting sign is either Barcelona or Costa Brava, for example. I also never really felt an urge to be in Madrid. Once I travelled to Barcelona, I thought the essence of Spain was unveiled for me, and I postponed the trip to Madrid for an undetermined time. And then, unexpectedly, life brought me to this city, not directly, but quite effortlessly. And that’s it! I was captivated! I fell in love with the moment. Madrid "grabbed" me. Since then, I've visited several times, enjoying my strolls around without a map and no internet; you won't be afraid of getting lost, you learn to navigate public transport. Although the first time was a bit of a bumpy ride: at the end of my stroll around Madrid, my phone ran out of battery and the return route to the station, I found it only thanks to good memory and an exceptional sense of direction that helps to carve out quite remarkable stories from the simplest experiences. But here I am, without such quests!

Overall, a very cool city, with its own pros and cons, but definitely a worthwhile visit! ❤️💖 »

« Today is a cultural must for all tourists – a visit to the museums. Step out and explore.

The old city is on display, and we barely scratched the surface in two days… Who knows how much we almost missed out on? 😅 Each street is stunning... »
@annafartunina
« Madrid is significant.
We took a train from Barcelona, traveling at a speed of about 150-200 km/h, so it was quick and comfortable. Buy your tickets in advance! We worked on it for two days, and by the time we got to tourist class, there were no seats left. 😂 Either purchase tickets at the vending machine at the station or online. At ticket counters, they only sell tickets for the current day.

First impressions of Madrid - typical European city. Spacious, clean, with beautiful buildings, but nothing extraordinary. In the center, it's quite crowded with tourists, walking can be a bit difficult, almost like being in a bustling area. 😄 Anyway, we managed to explore the whole center in one day, visit the Prado, take a walk a couple of times, and do some shopping. 😂

Definitely go to the Prado - it's a must, even if you aren't an art enthusiast. It's a very rich collection of masterpieces, and the ticket is quite affordable. The photo is of the Velázquez Palace in Retiro Park. »

« Turtles 😱🐢.

They don’t live in jungles, and not even in the wild. They are at the old Atocha train station in Madrid 😎. The building has been transformed into a waiting area and is home to a beautiful winter garden filled with a variety of tropical plants 🌴🌳🌵. In such a location, you can even catch a train if you like, and it's possible to board an express train from there 😄👌. »

« Guys, Madrid turned out to be an amazing modern city, in my opinion even cozier than Barcelona. On my first visit four years ago, I missed out on a lot. For some reason, it feels like Madrid gets unfairly overlooked, and that's a shame because it's really great. »
@berezkoyurii
« Hello from Madrid!))) What an amazing city! Unlike any other: emotions, sensations, a feast for the eyes, smells, energy, and unique architecture. People living in such a city are simply meant to CREATE! »

« If I had to describe Madrid in one word, that word would be passion. It runs like a leitmotif through this city, leaving no one indifferent to its scents, flavors, and the emotions it evokes. »

« Madrid didn’t exactly impress me; it just sort of passed by without leaving a mark. »

« Surprised by Madrid, such a beautiful and interesting city that I haven’t had the chance to visit until now.

The residents of Madrid mostly left the city for the weekend, so I was able to wander around and explore without any traffic. »

« Madrid isn't the most exciting city from a tourist's perspective. There are definitely around 10 must-see attractions here... But it's the tapas, the bars, and the parks that create a unique atmosphere. 🍷🌳 »

« Madrid is generous with bonuses: yesterday we visited the Prado Museum for free, and today we checked out the Royal Palace!... And we even saw such a beautiful sunset!!! 🌅✨ »

« Madrid impressed me five years ago, even though at that time I had never been to Paris, London, Vienna, or New York. Just two days ago, I became even more convinced - the architecture is insanely beautiful! 😍🏛️ »
